Vice President, Information Technology

Eric Fischer, Vice President, Information Technology, joined NuScale in 2010. In his current position, Mr. Fischer is responsible for internal corporate computing, which includes frontline support functions, back-office infrastructure, enterprise applications, high-performance computing, and business intelligence reporting. This includes enterprise software governance and ensuring the use of software across the company complies with domestic and international regulatory requirements for nuclear safety and quality. Additionally, Mr. Fischer is responsible for corporate cybersecurity functions.

Mr. Fischer has over 27 years of experience, holding a variety of positions supporting engineering and manufacturing businesses. He started his career in corporate laptop R&D working with overseas manufacturing partners.

 Mr. Fischer then supported the IT needs of inkjet printer R&D and high-volume manufacturing lines, worked on IT technology standardization for the Hewlett-Packard/Compaq company merger affecting 300k employees globally, led the database performance and monitoring efforts in that combined company for internal and ecommerce systems, and then later led a team of overseas contract staff to provide IT infrastructure outsourcing services to a variety of large and medium-sized business customers.

Mr. Fischer holds a Bachelor of Science in nuclear engineering from Oregon State University.
