Jim Breuer
Jim Breuer joined the board of NuScale Power Corporation on December 19, 2023, and is currently President of Fluor Energy Solutions business, responsible for global operations and business development in the energy and chemicals markets, including a special focus on the energy transition. These markets include energy production, fuels, refining, liquefied natural gas, chemicals and nuclear project services.
Having joined Fluor Corporation in 1993, Mr. Breuer has more than 30 years of engineering, procurement, and construction industry with a special focus on nuclear project services. Mr. Breuer started his career in Fluor’s construction organization on mining and downstream projects. He subsequently took on progressive roles in project engineering, project management and operations in various locations and industry sectors. He has held project and operational roles in the United States, Europe, and Latin America.
Prior to his current role, he also served as President of the Downstream business line within Fluor’s Energy & Chemicals business group and Fluor's Vice President and General Manager for Mining and Metals in the South America region.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Science degree and an Engineer degree in construction engineering and management from Stanford University, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from Cornell University.
